YOUR STAY

Brae House Bed & Breakfast is conveniently located on the edge of the small, vibrant market town of Aberfeldy and provides you with the perfect base from which to explore.

Aberfeldy is packed with things to do for the whole family and is ideally situated for exploring Highland Perthshire.  Let us help you plan your perfect trip, so that you make the most of your time here.

SHOPPING

If you love browsing through independent and eclectic shops, then you've come to the right place.  Aberfeldy was Scotland’s first Fairtrade town and the community is committed to do their best to promote Fairtrade, organic and environmentally-friendly products. The House of Bruar, affectionately known as the “Harrods of the Highlands” is just a short drive away, with its vast food hall offering a delicious selection of Scottish food and drink. What about that piece of furniture you've been looking for?  Award winning designer Angus Ross crafts his furniture from locally grown oak and his shop is worth a visit. We can make an appointment for you. Spirit of Wood’s handcrafted furniture on display in a converted barn, nestled in the hills surrounding Aberfeldy will give you a unique shopping experience.

FOOD AND DRINK

Aberfeldy is an absolute haven for foodies, so pop into House of Bruar, affectionately known as the “Harrods of the Highlands” for their selection of Scottish food and drink. If you love chocolate then, you won’t want to miss tasting the delights of Charlotte Flowers, an award-winning chocolatier offering seasonal flavours inspired by the Scottish landscape. Taste and buy and even make your own chocolate at one of Charlottes’ workshops, at Acharn on the shore of Loch Tay. Charlotte’s chocolates are absolutely delicious!  There is also a fab walk up to the Falls of Acharn.

No visit to this area would be complete without exploring the Aberfeldy Distillery. Producing whisky since 1898, our local distillery is the only Scotch whisky distillery built by the Dewar family. You can take a tour explore the fascinating museum or even blend and bottle your own whisky!

Prefer coffee? Pop into the Cow & Parrot and sample their wonderful coffee and delicious homemade muffins, sandwiches and soup. We love the comfortable and relaxed setting. Also dog friendly.

So stay a while. Escape, relax, unwind - and enjoy your time at Brae House Bed and Breakfast. We look forward to welcoming you!
