Staying in Aberfeldy without a car is perfectly doable, and in fact many of our guests are on walking holidays, passing through and stopping off for one night along the trails.

Half an hour away is Pitlochry Station where taxis are available to bring you through to Aberfeldy. We’re also happy to collect you on arrival.

Aberfeldy is perfect for a walking holiday there are a choice of walks from the house also it’s only a 15min walk into town with a good selection of eateries, shops, galleries, coffee shops and even a cinema.

There’s a handy local bus which does a circular route from Aberfeldy down to Kenmore and Loch Tay. And for adventurers, explorers who love the extra excitement, there’s easy access to white water rafting on the River Tay.

Get the timing right and you could hop on the bus outside Brae House and hop off in town, enjoy the shopping, galleries and maybe pick up a souvenir.

Especially useful if you’re stopping off for a Whisky tasting and tour at the famous Dewar’s Heritage Centre.

A trip to Scotland is never complete without a Whisky tour, even if you don’t like Whisky.
